There's hope

Was watching Discovery Science about Jelly Fish, yah JELLY FISH!!!

Can you imagine that, but I learned that Jelly Fish got no BRAIN, WOW!!! ok ok maybe I'm not very good at science. That's where Discovery Science channel comes in to help poor Jimmy here, a person who lack of general & science knowledge.

But after watching for 15min!!! I get bored of the show, so I guess it doesn't really help me much, that's why I need HELP University College to help me in the area of knowledge. Hehe.

ok ok divide cut the short long story long short, so was pressing, pressing & pressing the remote control buttons till it reach at Hallmark channel (I seldom watch Hallmark's shows). They were showing The Oprah Winfrey Show, so I watched it awhile, almost at the end already by the way.

WAIT!!! what on earth am I doing, from Jelly Fish to The Oprah Winfrey Show. I have no idea why I landed on that show, probably unconsciously trying to understand women. Well I guess is not a very bad thing to do though, haha.

The POINT is, at the end of Oprah Winfrey show, there this lady, India Arie (she is from India... lol just kidding) she sang this song 'There's Hope'.

I like the lyrics though. It was so relevant to me in one way or another. I guess same goes to everyone too, especially to the society today. Try listen to it and go through the lyrics line by line, nice song by the way...

Enjoy =)

p/s: Aih!!! class starting tomorrow, I can't believe it... but only ONE class a week... THERE'S HOPE, hoho!!!

p/s: oh ya!!! HAPPY 20th BIRTHDAY Anna Teoh!!! Hehe welcome to the "BIG 2 club"... There's hope, lol =P

India Arie - There's Hope
[Verse 1:]
Back when I had a little
I thought that I needed a lot
A little was over rated,
but a lot was a little too complicated
You see-Zero didn't satisfy me
A million didn't make me happy
That's when I learned a lesson
That it's all about your perception
Hey-are you a pauper or a superstar
So you act, so you feel, so you are
It ain't about the size of your car
It's about the size of the faith in your heart

[Chorus:]
There's hope
It doesn't cost a thing to smile
You don't have to pay to laugh
You better thank God for that
[repeat]

There's hope

[Verse 2:]
Off in the back country of Brazil
A met a young brother that made me feel
That I could accomplish anything.
You see just like me he wanted to sing
He had no windows and no doors
He lived a simple life and was extremely poor
On top of all of that he had no eye sight,
but that didn't keep him from seein' the light
He said, what's it like in the USA,
and all I did was complain
He said-livin' here is paradise
He taught me paradise is in your mind
You know that

[Chorus]

[Bridge:]
Every time I turn on the T.V. (There's Hope)
Somebody's acting crazy (There's Hope)
If you let it, it will drive you crazy (There's Hope)
but I'm takin' back my power today (There's Hope)
Gas prices they just keep on rising (There's Hope)
The government they keep on lying
but we gotta keep on surviving
Keep living our truth and do the best we can do

[Chorus]

Stand up for your rights [echo]
Keep shining your light [echo]
And show the world your smile [echo]

[Chorus]

To think & to worry

Been thinking, thinking & thinking a lot during the holidays.

About?

Something & nothing.

I guess most of us think a lot, especially during the holidays or to free already no other better things to do.

Been thinking about what I am going to do for the next coming year (wow!!! Since when Jimmy think so far ahead?), as in will I get a job that I wanted or will I end up as a char keow teow feller (that's what I always said to the others) & what will happen after that?

Thinking to much lead to?

Yes, worrying to much.

Yeah, been worrying about myself too. I guess it can't be help right, but not very good though. Been evaluating myself with the people around me so much, worrying that I will not be as good as them. Them? ya... my friends, cousins & other humans on earth... hehe.

Sometime you just wish that you are that person or you wish to possess the person's attribute, this and that. We humans never ever satisfy with what we have or what we are.

There are also some questions left unanswered sometime, wanted to know the answer but also in other way don't dare to ask the question, fear that it will hurts ourself.

So what shall we do about it?
Ignore it and move on with unanswered question(s)?
or face the fact even it hurts you?

Difficult huh?

Thinking and worrying to much kills...
equal to brain damage, ish!!!

Been reading Matthew 6:34 :-
"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

There are always worries in our life,
it's depend on us how we react to it.

Take one step at a time?

So yah stop thinking and worrying too much.
Go get something to do!!!

What things to do?

Grrr have to THINK & WORRY about it again... faint!!!

p/s: oh ya! did you know yesterday date was 20072007? as in 20/07/2007... lol cool!

IF only I am a billionaire

Always dreaming of buying two big semi-d houses and combine it to one big house with state of the art architecture and interior design... lol

Rooms is the most important to me:-
  • Reading/Study/Computer room, I doubt I will read any books there, will only use the computers there.

  • Studio room, so can invite friend for jamming or maybe when stress/depress can sing out loud in the studio room without anyone noticing, unless got thunderstorm after that.
  • Entertainment room, equiped with latest video game console such as, Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3 & XBOX 360. Not to forget also, high end home theater system. WOHOO!!!

  • Nice and simple bedroom, not really important to me, as long I can sleep is good enough.
  • Super big kitchen and hall , don't know why I need a big kitchen tho. -_-"
  • Cars, least but not last, a few sport and luxury cars.
As the title said, 'IF only I am a billionaire' (T_T)
Haih, there goes
Jimmy's whims & fancy.
You know, I know, we know.

Be the 1st to watch Transformer!!!

Wohoo!!! I love Transformer movie man.

2 weeks ago I worked in the cinema for the Transformer movie premier in Cineleisure's Cineplex. So yea, they need 80 people to take care of the crowd on that day itself. It was Wednesday night. If I am right there are around 6-8 theaters showing Transformer show during the premier. Imagine 1 cinema can fit around 350 audience, it will be total of 2500++!!! people coming to watch Transformer =_=". CRAZY!!!

So yala, the work begin on 7pm, ended on 12am. Was finding parking, then I saw this sign on one of the parking slot...

I stoned for few second... "AMAZED" by it. Maybe some of you seen this before, but it was my first time in Cineleisure. This special PINK parking slot is located near the the escalator or lift. OK la understandable, cause female are more prone to some dangerous stalker or crazy people following them in the parking area. BUT!!! the management should had just written there "FEMALE DRIVER ONLY" instead of "female SINGLE drive only". Hehe, I know it meant for those female driver who driving alone to the parking lot, but it gave me another impression said that only females that are still single and available are only allowed to park on the pink parking spot... I wonder how about those females that are not single and not available... tsk tsk pity them... lol jkjk

Susposed to be there at 6 30 but I reached there earlier, so I walked around the place. I went to the entrance and I saw this....

Stoned again... lol... The yellow board there shows "reserved for Megatron, park at your own risk". FAINT FAINT FAINT!!! haha Cineleisure got very interesting signs and things around... lol

After all the stoning, work started around 7. I was assigned to security team, the coolest team there... haha... but so much things to do!!!... have to check their bags, use the metal detector to scan their body for "unwanted" metal... lol... and guess what??? everyone who being scanned with the metal detector... 9 out of 10 got beeping sound... hopeless equipment... =_=".... then we have to check their pocket to see are there anything suspicious. It sounded like very fun to use the metal detector right? you come and try... after scanning few hundred people you felt like your hand going to be dislocated already, haha.

Below are some pictures where we kept their handphones, PDAs, laptops, electronic devices and also even CALCULATOR!!!. YES!!! calculator... the UIP(United Internation Picutures) are so strict that whatever electronic devices are not allowed into the cinema even things like old handphones, no colour/camera hanphones, and ya CALCULATOR too... =_="

We kept their belongings in the box, and then we shifted it out to Petaling Streets for Mega Super Sales!!! haha nola... we just kept their belongings in the envelope with a serial number attached to it.

Sorting out the envelope according to the number arrangement before the shows ended.

The next day is the real stuff, I am stationed at Time Square cinema. My task is to deliver the Transformer movie reels to the cinema manager and collect it back at the end of the day, that is 3:30am, for 7 days. =_="

Above the pictures are the Transformer movie reels. Is so HEAVY!!! each box contain 2 movie reels. I think roughly got 3-5KG. So heavy... crazy, hehe. There are once I deliver the movie reels late, because I drove like a Ferrari driver and I lost my way, so panic man, even the manager so worry about it, no Transformer movie for Time Square, ngek ngek. When I delivered it finally, he said, "wah I sweating already man, waiting for you". Haha!!! by the way he is nice feller =)

My second task was to be in the cinema for every Transformer's screening for at least 5 min in the cinema to check around in case anyone recording, then I can go 'lepak' around. Basically it was an easy job, they paid me to watch all the shows, muahaha!!!

Oh ya, we caught a guy recording using his hp for around 20 mins++. Aih poor feller, want to record also use cam corder mah...lol jkjk. Me and the GSC staff standing behind the cinema keep watching on him and purposely let him record longer then only we catch him. The GSC management brought him to the security department. What happen next I not sure... hehe... is up to the UIP (United International Pictures) management.

The best part was, I am not working under GSC but I am representative of UIP, so I am not required to follow any instruction from any of the management staff at GSC but instead they treat me like a manager, all the staff calling me 'sir'... lol... it feel kinda weird tho, but get use to it after the 1st day. So I am the "BOSS" muahahaha!!!

My first time entering Gold class cinema and Imax Cinema too. It was quite cool, especially the IMAX cinema, the screen is so huge, even if you sit in the middle row you will have some difficulty watching the show, cause the screen is MEGA big.

That's how the screen look like in the picture is the screen, not very clear but roughly you can see how big it is. I think the screen is a quarter bigger of than normal cinema screen, but its still very big.

As for the gold/premiere class cinema, nothing impressive just that it has mini bar outside of the theater. The sit is very big, thats all, the screen and sound system is all exactly the same. Unless you don't know where to spent your money to, then you can try pay 40 bucks to sit in the gold class cinema. Honestly speaking paying 15 bucks to watch Transformer in IMAX theater is way much better than watching in Gold/Premiere class. Hehe.

Got the chance to went in to the project room too. First time in my life I get to went into the projection room, it was so so so COLD!!! I guess they have to maintain a low temperature for the projection machine to be able to operate properly. The projection machine look like a big computer server. Should took a better a picture of it, but don't dare... hehe. Oh ya it's also part of my task to check every projecter room once awhile for any recording devices. Nothing much to check there, just walk around to show them then I am actually doing my job... haha... and pretend to look every corner of the room... as if I am doing inspection like that... lol.

But none the less I guess is a good experience working there as a 'checker', sounded like the checker game right... hehe. Is fun la, you don't have fix time when you supposed to be in the cinema, even if I am not the manager there wouldn't do anything cause I am not their staff... ngek ngek... in other word I loiter around Time Square, went to Borders's book shop to read some comic book, hehe. Easy job, easy money, free movies, higher status/authority even than the cinema manager but ... there is always a 'BUT'...

The 'but' are... you required to be there for SUPER MEGA ULTRA long hours. Have to reach there around 11am and can only reach home 4am in the morning. To be there on the 1st screening of the show till the end. The last show ended at 3am, by the time the technician pack up the movie reels, it's already half and hour gone. Driving back home also took around 20-30min, SO TIRING!!!

The worst thing is, walking around in Time Square alone like zombie. Walking aimlessly without any direction try to utilize the remaining time. It was so boring and tiring. I only have 5 hours of precious sleeping time everyday end up I slept in the Gold class mini bar area there... lol...working 15 hours per day is totally madness.

Thank God it only last for 1 week...

You know in the media, you will always hear this phrase, "be the 1st to watch Transformer on the premiere opening", something like that. How to be the 1st to watch? Is like there are more than 10 thousand people watching at the same time in Asia. The media should rephrase it to "be the 1st ten thousand to watch Transformer"... lol

Be the 1st to watch doesn't make sense to me,
hehe is just a random thought.
Anybody still want to watch Transformer?
I don't mind watching again...
after watching like don't know how many times already =P

Oh ya Hairy Potty is out... I mean Harry Potter... lol

070707

wow!!! was wanting to blog about 070707, and I just realised a min more to go before 8th of July,it was 11:59pm (look at the post time=P) when I wanted to start typing about this post... lol

Hehe...by the way nothing much to post about 070707.
but there is one thing, lol nothing to something ya =)

By the way I remembered started to play the guitar on the 7th of July 2003, yes yes, I remembered that clearly. Not because I purposely remembered the dat, but it's because the date was easy to remember, so yala, that's how I ended up remembered about it till today.

Always wanted to play the guitar since I was in high school, especially after my PMR exam, but as usual with my "busyness", end up didn't take the initiative to learn it.

So...
After few years on 7th of July 2003...
One of my church's youth leader called me up and told me his com got problem, so I went to his house and try to be PRO la... to "fix fix" the com, but can't remembered whether I able to fixed it or not.

Then....

I saw a guitar in his house...
out of my eagerness I took the guitar and started to pluck the string abit abit, trying to be pro, as if I know how to play, end up it sounded like Krank & krink!!! over and over again. WOSH!!! sweating already that time =_=|

So he(youth leader) asked me whether I played before, of course I said YES!!!... nola just kidding...I told him I wanted to take up guitar lesson but end up didn't.

So he taught me a few basic chords, after that...
out of the blue moon he handed me that guitar that I was trying to krank & krink... he also passed me along a song lyric with chords...

Can't really remembered what he told me exactly, but it sounded something like this, "go back and practice, I want to see next week"

wah wah wah!!! I stone straight away...
in my heart I was like saying "ARE YOU CRAZY!!!"

That whole week, I practice practice practice with fear!!!... haha scary man

A week had passed,
second week...
third week...
he still didn't ask me to play the song I practiced...
I guess he forgotten about it...*phew* haha

But while waiting to show him the song I practiced, I learn up other some other basic chords by myself. A month later I decided to take up guitar lesson.

Well I guess thank to him tho, because he indirectly initiated me to take up guitar lesson, even now still not very good or pro playing the guitar, but at least I started something, something that's worth that learned about =)

so there is my story how I started to take up the guitar and lets KRINK & KRANK!!! like superstars on 0707... haha!!!

Well hope you humans enjoy your 070707 weekend =)
Adios

School Of Rock

I bought this CD at Borders bookshop in Time Square,
is compilation of Rock Alternative song,
such as The Calling, Vertical Horizon, 3 Doors Down,
Oasis, Nine Days and others.

I like compilation CDs tho =)

The songs in the CD are from the year of 1993 - 2002.
Miss those song when I used to hear it on the radio during high school era,
hehe...

Remember during primary school and high school,
the 'buku latihan',
the light brown colour cover with the school's logo on it,
and below it you are suppose write your name, year/class room and the title of the subject for the exercise book beside the 'Nama','Tahun' & 'Perkara' section.

So yah, the packaging for School Of Rock CD look like the 'buku latihan' we always used during school days.

So cool right...
And there is a lyrics booklet in it too ,
the picture above with the one with cds,
eft side of it is the lyrics booklet.
When I open it, really look like an exercise book.
Very unique packaging. Simple and nice.

The cost of the this compilation CD is only RM40++,
Not bad for 2 CDs with 33 songs total in both CD.

I think is value for money,
especially those who enjoy rock alternative.

Hehe so go and grab a copy =P
No piracy piracy here and there...
lol look who's talking man.
